Many German automotive corporations have already started experimenting with the RFID load carriers by themselves (“VDA-Retrofit”) as they want to harvest the benefits of RFID versus Barcode now. When load carriers are combined with RFID, however, a number of challenges arise in terms of RFID performance and conformance.

When a leading German car manufacturer started to experiment with RFID on load carriers, they soon realized that they are in need of expert equipment for RFID testing. To stop the guesswork, they looked for CISC’s RFID testing solutions and 20+ years of CISC’ RFID expertise to be able to handle all performance and conformance requirements. CISC’s pass/fail mask for quick performance measurements of the RFID label on the load carrier, was especially developed for the automotive sector and marked a turning point for their RFID load carrier project.
